Your digital channels get choppy and freeze up when the signal quality that your antenna picks up gets too bad. It’s similar to when an analog TV signal shows ghosts and snow. Since you can still get analog signals, use them as a guide as to what you need to do in regards to your antenna.
You need to get a more reliable signal. For example:
1 Adjust your antenna
2. Try moving your antenna to different location. Indoor antennas can be very sensitive to location.
3. Get a better antenna
You could also try a good converter box like the Zenith/Insignia model to see if it has a better tuner. Kind of a shotgun approach, but for $20 (after coupon) you can check to see if the built in tuner is a good design.
