It is not right. A 720p tv can only show 720p, period. If you feed it a 1080i signal it will downconvert it to 720p, if you feed it a 480 SD signal, it will upconvert it to 720p. The highest resolution it can accept is 1080i, but it will just accept it and then downconvert it to 720p. Component (red/green/blue) cables and HDMI can both be used for HD.

Ja, u kunt kijken, maar aangezien je scherm is slechts 720 horizontale rijen pixels, er is geen enkele manier iets zal er beter uitzien dan 720p. Als de andere responder verklaart uw set gewoon de nodige aanpassing. En er nota van dat alles upconverted van 480i naar 720p niet afkomstig uit hoog-def. Het is nog maar een standaard-def beeld wordt weergegeven op een high-def scherm. Het ziet er best goed, maar niet hetzelfde als een echte 720p bron.
