Assuming that your TV has the Standard A/V inputs Red and White for Audio and Yellow for Video, it should be no problem. I have Hitachi 46″ and it does. Then you also have to assume that you brothers PS2 has the standard outputs as well, which are the same as I listed above. It would be like connecting any device like a DVD player, It doesnt matter if your TV is HD or not.

Have you tried plugging the cable in to the TV?
If you didnt do it, you really should.
