Laptop to hdtv through hdmi cable – very strange problem?
sunka2007 asked:
I connected my laptop to my hdtv through the hdmi cable. Then I go to play a video that I have on my hard drive and the video shows on my laptop but does not show on my monitor. The monitor is just blank (as if no video is playing but the video player is shown). Sound works for both. Online videos work on both. When I set my hdtv as the main monitor and the laptop as “extend the desktop on to this monitor” then the video works on my hdtv…
Other information: I recently had to reformat my hard drive so perhaps I am missing a driver or whatever it is (don’t know this stuff). I did get my NVIDIA video driver though so that is not the problem…
Also it used to work fine on both displays before I had to reformat my hard drive so it seems I am missing something I had then. Though I am playing a different format (Real Video player) than I did before (VLC and Windows Media Player). If I try to open this Real Video format video in VLC, again I get the sound (through my 5.1 speakers) but no video

Klinkt als een HDCP probleem. Poging om de disc afspeelt op meerdere beeldschermen wordt gezien als een poging tot kopiëren van gegevens.
